WHY CHOOSE TTT?

Expertise. Timaru TuToring has the necessary resources, over 20 years of experience and the skills to deliver Physics, Calculus and Mathematics tuition to at least Excellence Level - plus the track record to prove it !

External Assessments. Every subject has three Externally Assessed Exams covering the core syllabus. The entry requirements to study engineering at Auckland University are 17 External Credits in Calculus and 16 External Credits in Level 3 Physics; this is now a prerequisite for entry into most universities to read for an engineering or similar degree. Not preparing for or failing just one of the externally assessed exam papers could spell disaster or result in a very challenging first year at university trying to catch up.

Internal Assessments. Internal Assessments for each subject have been designed to compliment the three core subject topics formally taught in schools in preparation for sitting the three Externally Assessed exam papers.

Laying a Foundation. Starting to build a solid foundation is essential and Timaru TuToring considers their most important clients to be Year 12 pupils studying both Physics and Mathematics.

Our fees cover instruction in Physics and Mathematics and so pupils studying both get two for the price of one.
Individual tuition reduces stress and increases interest, understanding and ability. It also frees up more time to focus on other subjects.
Tuition maximises the chance of being awarded one of the many university scholarships available - which could easily repay the tuition fees.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Signing up to Timaru TuToring is a commitment to weekly tutorials during term times. Most students remain with TTT for two to three years.
All students must arrive fully prepared for tuition eg bring workbooks, textbooks, graphic calculator (Casio 9750 Gii) etc
All students must be focussed and cooperate fully with their tutor during every tutorial.
Year 11 student places will always be provisional.
Combined reports and invoices will be emailed to parents/guardians shortly after the end of each term. Payments should be made within two weeks of receipt.
Cancellation Policy. All students will receive a reminder by text to their mobile phone the day prior to their tutorial. Late notice of cancellation (ie less than 24 hours) should be made by phone call or text to 027 747 0420. More than 24 hours notice is ideal and same day notice should be avoided as TTT Tutors have many other daily commitments. Good notice leaves time for rescheduling later in the week or inviting students from the TTT Reserve List of Students to attend instead. Anything less than 6 hours notice may result in a full charge being raised for the missed tutorial especially during Term 4. Not turning up for a tutorial will result in a full charge.
